Health Service Excellence Awards

Seven projects have been selected to compete to the overall winner of the 2016 Health Service Excellence Awards. Shortlisting took place in January 2016 and the teams from the shortlisted projects were then invited to present to the selection panel to qualify for the Health Service Excellence Awards final 2016.

Havana Club Grand Prix 2016 Winner for Ireland

After a national campaign to find Ireland’s strongest mixologists with Havana Club Rum, Stephen Wynne of 37 Dawson Street won the campaign to travel to Cuba and represent Ireland at the Global Final of The Havana Club Grand Prix 2016-  one of the World’s longest running cocktail competitions and now in its 22nd year.  Stephen’s cocktail was  called the “Paraiso Perez” named after a 19th century explorer, he presented it to an audience of national bartenders at the Chelsea Drug Store last night 20th April along with 2 other finalists. The drink includes  35.5mls Havana Especial 15 mls  Apricot Brandy 10mls  a sweetened Ruby Port ( red grape infusion ) 35.5mls Apple Juice (cloudy)  15mls fresh Lime juice
